Distance Learning Tracking Camera: Getting Started-Basics

Feel free to roam around the class with a Hands-free auto tracking camera while using Google Meet for remote learners.  The artificial intelligence technology allows the camera to follow you throughout your classroom for remote students to be engaged with what you are sharing during your lesson.

Inventory your Supplies

Connecting the Camera

Note: To get started with the basics, you will only need Items 1, 7, and 9.

  1. Connect the PowerAdapter & Power Cord (Item #7) to the back of the Camera Unit (Item #1). Connect the other side of the PowerAdapter & PowerCord (Item #7) to the electrical outlet.
  2. Connect the USB (Item #9) to the Camera Unit (Item #1) and the Laptop/Computer.
  3. Once the device is plugged in, the camera will automatically begin to roam the room and will detect where you are located and the camera will follow you.

Note:  The above steps are to connect your device to your laptop/computer. 
To view yourself with the camera, begin a Google Meet (Instructions below).

Prior to Joining a Google Meeting

  1. To set up your Aver Camera for your meeting. Select the 3 dots at the top right of the Google Meet screen.
  1.  Select Settings.
  1.  Select Video under Settings.
  2. Under Camera select AVer TR310
  3. To close use the x at the top right.
  1. Join the meeting by selecting Join now. 

Note: The camera will detect where you are located and the camera will follow you.

During a Google Meet

1.Select more options (3 dots) at the bottom right of the screen.

2. Select settings.

3.  Select Video under Settings.

4.  Under Camera select AVer TR310

5.  To close use the x at the top right.

Note: The camera will detect where you are located and the camera will follow you.

Important:  To reset the camera to detect you. Unplug the camera and re-plug it back into the laptop/computer.
